I help churches, camps, and youth programs put real safety and compliance systems in place, without needing a compliance department to do it.
I am a Risk & Compliance Specialist with a background in volunteer screening, youth protection compliance, and organizational risk management. In my day to day work, I support compliance operations for a national youth serving nonprofit with more than 72,000 members, coordinating the review of more than 10,000 volunteer background screenings every year.
Steady Ground Templates grew out of that work. Most churches, camps, and youth programs are expected to run a safe program, but few have a compliance department to build the policies, forms, and tracking systems that back it up. I write those documents and tools so a small staff or an all volunteer board can put a real safety program in place without starting from a blank page.
I am completing a graduate degree in Compliance and Risk Management, with coursework in administrative law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal controls, risk assessment, and compliance program development. Everything I build is grounded in real requirements, including Texas mandatory reporting under Family Code 261.101 and the licensing rules under the state's newer camp safety law, and written so it holds up outside Texas too.
